About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end reporting projects across pharmacy business lines and the pharmacy management system
Own the LookML semantic layer, including explores, views, dimensions, and measures
Define and document consistent business metrics and push fixes upstream into dbt
Lead dashboard migrations by assessing usage, metric meaning, and warehouse ownership
Own client-facing outputs for manufacturers, ensuring reconciled numbers and accurate labels
Build PHI reporting with masking policies, role-based access, and BAA obligations incorporated into the build
Report to the Manager, BI & Reporting
Mentor teammates and help unblock their work

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree is optional; equivalent hands-on experience is fully acceptable
Typically 4 to 7 years of experience building business intelligence on a real platform, with production dashboards people depended on
Looker and LookML experience; Power BI, Tableau, or Domo experience plus willingness to learn Looker also accepted
SQL skills including window functions, careful joins, and join-fanout validation
Data modeling skills, including identifying table grain, gaps, and dashboard requirements
Visualization judgment
Ability to validate work against source data and assess confidence
Ability to clarify ambiguous requests from operations leads or account managers
Mentoring ability
Strong understanding of healthcare data, PHI, and HIPAA requirements
Strong communication and data-driven decision-making skills
Preferred: healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated-data experience, including PHI, HIPAA, and BAAs
Preferred: dbt experience and pull-request-based model changes
Preferred: Snowflake or another cloud warehouse in production, ideally including migration experience
Preferred: Git-based BI development, version control, code review, environments, and promotion
Preferred: experience migrating a BI platform
No formal leadership or management experience required
