Key responsibilities & impact

Connect GitGuardian to customer platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Jira, and AWS
Maintain reliable integrations and scans that detect exposed secrets
Scale integrations as customers, sources, and data grow
Strengthen system resilience and observability
Improve the user experience around source and scan management
Handle production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive solutions
Own technical design, implementation, deployment, and production monitoring
Collaborate with engineers, an Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Designer, and Staff Engineer
Work on a large-scale Django application
Participate in the interview process and provide professional references

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in web development
Strong, recent production experience in Python and Django
Experience with ORM performance, transactions, migrations on large tables, and SQL optimization
Solid software engineering fundamentals, including clean, tested code, sound data structures, performance awareness, and methodical debugging
Experience handling production incidents end-to-end
Ability to own projects or features end-to-end
Autonomy with clear, frequent communication
Strong proficiency in AI-assisted and agentic development workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience with distributed systems, async pipelines, and third-party API integrations is advantageous but not required
Hands-on use of observability tools is advantageous but not required
Experience with a large monolithic codebase is advantageous but not required
Ability to contribute to frontend development with React and TypeScript is advantageous but not required
