About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own go-to-market strategy for VEO, VPGO, VSO, and Gift Agreement Platform products from launch planning through ongoing positioning
  • Develop messaging and positioning across the product line
  • Define ideal customer profiles and personas across development officers, planned giving officers, and advancement leadership
  • Create sales enablement materials, including decks, battlecards, and objection-handling frameworks
  • Run training sessions to help sales use enablement materials
  • Produce product marketing materials such as one-pagers, case studies, website copy, and campaign assets
  • Track competitive intelligence, including adjacent players entering AI-driven advancement technology
  • Equip sales and leadership with a clear competitive point of view
  • Align product, sales, and marketing on launches, roadmap communication, and customer-facing narrative
  • Establish the customer feedback loop between sales, support, customers, product positioning, and roadmap conversations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years in product marketing, with meaningful ownership of messaging, positioning, and sales enablement
  • Experience in B2B software, ideally in a tech or startup environment where you've had to move fast and wear multiple hats
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills to turn complex product capabilities into a narrative for a non-technical buyer
  • Track record of partnering closely with sales teams and building materials that get used
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and building process where none exists yet
  • Nice to have: Experience in nonprofit tech or ed tech
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with the advancement/fundraising space, including moves management, planned giving, and donor engagement
