About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the I3TS Principal Solutions Architect in identifying service gaps and opportunities for improvement
Drive continual innovation to evolve DTRA’s IT infrastructure for current and future requirements
Identify and explore improvements to site surveys, migrations, automation, open design principles, cybersecurity, total cost, and end-user experience
Lead analyses of alternatives and proof-of-concept development for approved improvements
Work with project teams to keep implementation aligned with the improvement vision and intent
Collaborate with Leidos and Government stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities
Conduct feasibility assessments and detailed analyses of alternatives
Document and present analysis results to Leidos and Government stakeholders through engineering review boards
Oversee proofs of concept of three months or less
Draft detailed project plans covering technical approach, cost, schedule, and risks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance at time of consideration
U.S. Citizen required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program
8–10 years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain DoW TS/SCI clearance
Experience designing secure, scalable, and robust on-premise and cloud-based virtualized infrastructures
Experience planning and executing application and service migrations
Experience developing and maintaining architecture artifacts and communicating designs to executive and technical stakeholders
Experience evaluating and recommending technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve performance, scalability, security, and costs
Experience operating in a comparable DevSecOps environment
Proven written and oral communication skills targeted at all organizational levels
Must possess an active DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification, or be able to obtain a certification such as CompTIA Security+ within 60 days of starting
Desired: Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining IT infrastructures for DTRA or other DoW organizations
