About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and define seamless, consistent, and desirable experiences for Global Payments products and services using user-centered design principles
Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research and analysis
Apply customer needs, motivations, tasks, and goals to design engaging experiences across devices, delivery channels, and non-digital touchpoints
Advocate for users on project teams and collaborate with stakeholders
Assist with UX strategy, including competitive landscape, user analytics, customer data, behavioral segmentation, personas, scenarios, interaction models, journey maps, content strategy, ecosystem considerations, product roadmaps, and feature prioritization
Select and perform appropriate research methods, analyze results, and create actionable recommendations
Define patterns, navigation, structure, and hierarchy through user stories, scenarios, process flows, mind maps, affinity diagrams, journey maps, and ecosystem diagrams
Facilitate participatory design, design evaluations, brainstorming sessions, and stakeholder/user feedback
Create low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, simulations, storyboards, visual designs, user design patterns, and style guides
Ensure designs align with accessibility guidelines and compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
Relevant experience or degree in Interaction Design, Human Factors, or related field, and/or combination of relevant training and/or experience in lieu of degree
Typically minimum 4 years relevant experience
Ability to research and design user experience solutions independently
Preferred: Psychology, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Graphic/Visual Design, Human Factors, Library Science, English, Information Technology, or related field
Preferred: typically minimum 4 years relevant experience researching and designing user experience solutions independently within the Financial Industry
CUA
Experience with industry research, card sorting, and survey tools, including Optimalsort
Experience with usability testing tools including Morae, Camtasia, and WebEx Recording
Experience with prototyping tools including Balsamiq, Axure, and Omnigraffle
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools
Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and responsive design
Knowledge of multiple browser, OS, and computing platforms and associated design considerations
Knowledge of Web Accessibility compliance
