About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with the engineering team to solve complex problems
Contribute to building a scalable platform on AWS using engineering best practices
Collaborate to refine business requirements and evolve the payments platform
Fully own the services built by the engineer and team
Participate in team code reviews
Mentor less experienced team members
Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders on team-owned projects and features
Deliver and support the portal web application for merchant boarding, users, transactions, funding, disbursements, chargebacks, risk controls, and access controls
Provide merchant-facing interfaces for transaction and funding analysis
Provide reporting, analysis capabilities, and dashboards for payment processing users

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years’ experience with software development, including expert knowledge of best practices, code architectural patterns, and code design principles and patterns
3+ years of experience in Angular-based front-end development
2+ years of experience with ExpressJS backend development
Solid understanding of large-scale software systems
Good experience with relational database systems, including Postgres and MariaDB
Good understanding of REST APIs
Very strong oral and written communication skills
Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle stages and best practices
Demonstrated ability to technically own delivery of medium-sized features involving multiple team members
Experience with basic cloud services for building and running cloud-native applications
Must undergo a drug test if working in the United States after receiving a conditional offer
