About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Automate testing processes
Create scripts for high-level regression testing
Design comprehensive test plans
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems and follow them through to closure
Investigate and report defects and bugs, including re-testing after fixes in Rally/Jira
Deliver regular progress and status reports
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
Manage projects from start to finish, including gathering requirements, designing test scenarios, analyzing test results and providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations
Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to create and maintain process measurements

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years of experience in software testing, focused on functional testing
At least 3 years of Automation and SQL skills, including querying and manipulating data for analysis and testing
Knowledge of SOAP API and REST API for automation testing
Working knowledge of API technologies, including Swagger and Postman
Expertise in SDLC and STLC phases, including requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, test estimation, test automation, test artifact documentation, test execution, defect management, test reporting and review
Experience with JIRA, Rally, Jenkins and Git
Sound understanding and experience of Agile working practices
Ability to work in virtual teams across multiple locations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly and commitment to detail
Self-starter who is personable, approachable and willing to think outside the box
Willingness to share relevant technical and/or industry knowledge
Extra consideration for financial services industry background and knowledge of Generative AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot
