About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Code, test, and analyze application software
Support existing products and business applications
Conduct usability testing to identify and fix issues and gather real-world user intelligence
Collaborate with business and IT decision makers on user interface requirements and ideas
Create responsive web applications that conform to multiple screen sizes and devices
Develop website and product aesthetics, including layouts, menus, drop-down options, colors, and fonts
Keep current with UI/UX design and HCI trends and best practices
Use wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts to plan and present interface designs
Apply SEO knowledge to develop search-friendly websites and interfaces
Work with Development and QA team members to improve usability
Follow SDLC and development processes, coding standards, and best practices
Troubleshoot production products and business applications as needed
Attend overnight releases when needed
Automate processes and write maintainable, supportable, and testable code to achieve operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience building web services in REST using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and microservices architecture
8+ years of hands-on experience in front-end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
8+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, and Bootstrap
8+ years of experience building web services in SOAP and/or REST using Java and Spring/Spring Boot
Strong experience working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus repository
Fluency in complex SQL and experience with DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server preferred
Experience with data streaming such as Kafka, data messaging, and event-driven systems
Experience with modern agile software delivery practices including Scrum, CI/CD, TDD, BDD, DevOps, and automation
Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitHub
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
If working in the United States, successful completion of a conditional-offer drug test is required
