About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review Life and Health new business applications from receipt to final status according to established procedures, guidelines, and quality and production standards
  • Evaluate documents for completeness, accuracy, and state-specific compliance
  • Prepare applications for processing in collaboration with the New Business team
  • Review and prepare new business applications received in the office and correspond with the team about incoming business
  • Communicate issues with writing agents and follow up on outstanding items
  • Scan and index supplemental and life applications, including pending items, into OnBase
  • Communicate with the team regarding incoming documents and corrections
  • Issue pending applications received in the office
  • Assemble and mail CWL policies weekly
  • Complete processes for errors, pending, and withdrawn applications
  • Process new business applications
  • Assist with complaint research, follow-up, and resolution
  • Communicate with agents and agency owners regarding submissions, pending business, and missing documents by phone and email
  • Clear pends from the pend list as needed
  • Update account information and input data from submitted paperwork
  • Review and analyze new business for group additions and determine effective dates and agent advances
  • Call to verify employee eligibility for group additions
  • Send addition letters with payroll forms when applicable
  • Prepare new group business for billing representative contact with payroll administrators and new profile setup
  • Evaluate group bill payment delinquency and update related information
  • Review applications for payroll group agreements and payroll authorization forms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Business Email Etiquette course (required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete projects efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused and make logical decisions
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
  • Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications
