Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support and guidance across system applications
Drive enhancements and design scalable solutions across the full application lifecycle
Make architectural decisions, ensure quality, and align technical work with business needs
Manage client relationships, ticket triage, and first- and second-level technical support
Own features end-to-end across back-end APIs, data layers, AWS services, and front-end UI
Design, build, and ship full-stack web applications from requirements through production release
Build complex, data-driven, multi-user applications
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability issues
Diagnose, triage, and resolve production application issues
Build Vue 3 or Angular front ends integrated with back-end APIs and Cognito authentication
Implement WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
Write front-end unit and component tests and participate in end-to-end testing
Design and build RESTful APIs and back-end services using ASP.NET Core Web API and C#
Implement clean architecture, CQRS/MediatR, Repository pattern, and SOLID design
Implement authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito, JWT, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, and ASP.NET Core Identity
Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, indexes, and T-SQL queries
Build data access layers with Entity Framework Core and Dapper
Implement background processing and messaging with Hangfire, AWS SQS, and BackgroundService
Support data integration workflows using SSIS, IICS, or MuleSoft
Build and maintain AWS workflows and security using services including Step Functions, Lambda, Cognito, SQS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, Secrets Manager, and Parameter Store
Participate in iOS and Android app packaging and release processes
Maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Git practices
Maintain Azure DevOps Boards and contribute to sprint planning and backlog refinement
Serve as back-end and cloud technical authority
Lead code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers
Drive architecture and design discussions and create technical specifications and ADRs
Partner with QA, DBAs, Business Analysts, and Product Owners throughout the SDLC
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience
10+ years of production software development
5+ years of expert-level .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and C#; VB.NET familiarity is a plus
3+ years of hands-on AWS production experience, including Step Functions, Cognito, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway
3+ years of SQL Server schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
3+ years of front-end development with Vue 3 or Angular and TypeScript
2+ years working with SSIS, IICS, or MuleSoft
2+ years managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
Demonstrated history delivering complex production back-end systems with real users, real data, and real uptime requirements
Production experience with DynamoDB and/or Aurora
Experience packaging and releasing iOS and/or Android applications
Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Ability to work independently through ambiguity and manage several diverse, complex problems simultaneously
Expert-level .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and C#
Strong AWS production experience with Step Functions, Cognito, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and Secrets Manager
Strong SQL Server skills, including schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
Experience with clean architecture, SOLID principles, CQRS/MediatR, Repository pattern, EF Core, Dapper, FluentValidation, and Redis caching
Experience with Vue 3 Composition API or Angular 14+ using TypeScript
Experience with App Store Connect and Google Play Console
Proficiency with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, Docker, and SonarQube/SonarCloud
Experience with xUnit, Moq, FluentAssertions, Vitest, or Jest
Reliable and predictable attendance of the assigned shift
Ability to work full time and/or part time based on position specifications
