About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with internal business units and vendors to create transparency into regulatory compliance, consumer privacy, and operational resiliency risks
  • Conduct vendor risk assessments using established criteria
  • Distribute risk assessment results to business leaders and stakeholders
  • Prepare dashboards of periodic reviews
  • Partner with Business Owners to complete inherent risk questionnaires
  • Develop working knowledge of regulations governing third-party relationships
  • Complete initial due diligence and ongoing vendor risk assessments
  • Maintain a risk register covering financial, compliance, and operational risks
  • Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation, including findings, risk statements, ratings, justifications, and recommendations
  • Facilitate vendor risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with second-line risk and compliance subject matter experts
  • Build partnerships with Business Owners and SMEs
  • Develop corrective action plans, monitor execution, and evaluate residual risk
  • Maintain third-party data integrity and inventory in risk management applications
  • Collect, develop, and analyze Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
  • Drive continuous improvements to the Vendor Risk Management program and framework
  • Assist with communication, training, and rollout of new TPRM processes
  • Manage and administer Vendor Risk Management procedures, tools, and support materials
  • Obtain and maintain training in Vendor Risk Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or any other quantitative-based degree
  • 3+ years of vendor risk management experience
  • Working knowledge of fundamental risk principles and leading practices
  • Knowledge of and experience in designing and operating third-party risk management governance frameworks and processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, guidance, and oversight applicable to the financial services industry
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to generate ideas for and support continuous improvement
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize work, juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines, and changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient PC skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial service, insurance, or health care industry
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of the assigned shift
  • Ability to work full time and/or part time based on position specifications
