Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate developers
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement efficient, scalable and maintainable full stack solutions
Contribute to the company’s technical vision and strategy
Stay current with emerging technologies and apply relevant developments to improve systems and innovate
Design, develop and implement complex software engineering projects
Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
Develop accessible experiences using semantic HTML, keyboard navigation and appropriate assistive-technology support
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, design specifications and test plans
Participate in code and design reviews
Collaborate with project managers, product owners and stakeholders to define scope, goals and deliverables
Develop and maintain project schedules, identify risks and mitigate roadblocks
Track and report progress to support timely delivery of milestones
Ensure product and system quality through testing and validation
Collaborate with QA to develop and execute test plans and test cases
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects, implementing sustainable solutions
Work with Product, Sales, Marketing and other teams to align engineering goals with business objectives
Act as a technical liaison to non-technical stakeholders
Complete accurate daily timesheets and submit them weekly for review

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
6+ years of full stack development experience
Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS
Production experience with Angular, React or Vue
Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications
Understanding of component architecture, state management and responsive design
Experience with functional programming and object-oriented programming
Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
Frontend testing and test automation
Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Travis CI or CircleCI
Modern build tools and dependency management (Maven/Gradle, npm/yarn, Bundler)
HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript
Responsive design and modern CSS frameworks
Cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Vercel, Netlify, DigitalOcean)
Containerisation (Docker) and deployment strategies
Web application architecture and best practices
Web security, including OWASP Top 10
Debugging and problem-solving skills
Mentoring and team leadership
Advanced AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda)
Message brokers (Apache Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ)
NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and advanced SQL optimisation
