About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a geographically dispersed sales team across the United States and Canada
  • Establish team objectives, monitor KPIs and performance, conduct reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
  • Lead regional sales strategies and drive sales goals, business objectives, and market presence across leisure and all-inclusive segments
  • Build relationships with wholesale partners, travel advisors, host agencies, consortia, and other industry stakeholders
  • Support field coaching through customer visits, partner meetings, trade events, conferences, and sales engagements
  • Oversee sales resource deployment across accounts, markets, and commercial opportunities
  • Support travel-advisor education initiatives, webinars, training programs, videos, FAM trips, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and maintain sales processes and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting through Salesforce, MicroStrategy, and other business systems
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting, activity tracking, team updates, and business reviews
  • Analyze performance, account coverage, customer insights, market trends, competitive activity, and partner performance
  • Provide leadership with performance updates, commercial insights, and recommendations
  • Manage team budgets, business expenses, partner investments, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Maintain calendars, document sales activities, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Work from a remote home-office environment while leading employees across multiple markets and time zones

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, travel, tourism, sales, or a related industry
  • Proven experience leading and developing field-based sales teams and driving results against established sales targets and business objectives
  • Experience managing remote employees across multiple territories, markets, and/or time zones
  • Ability to establish clear expectations, create effective processes, drive accountability, and improve operational effectiveness
  • Strong coaching and people-development capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business strategies
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and external business partners
  • Experience utilizing CRM and reporting systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and similar business productivity and communication tools
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%+, including domestic and occasional international travel
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote leadership environment
  • Preferred hospitality industry experience with a major hotel company, resort organization, travel supplier, tour operator, destination management company, or wholesale travel organization
  • Knowledge of the leisure, resort, and all-inclusive hospitality segments
  • Experience working with travel advisors, host agencies, consortia, and wholesale travel partners
  • Experience with business intelligence and sales analytics platforms such as MicroStrategy
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and optimizing resource allocation
  • Experience supporting or leading sales teams across the United States and Canada
