About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide physician care in East End Long Island urgent care centers
  • Treat adult and pediatric patients, including patients aged 6 months and older
  • Perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints
  • Read EKGs and X-rays
  • Work primarily in 16-hour centers in Yaphank, Elwood, Bay Shore, and Port Jefferson
  • May work in 12-hour centers in Deer Park, Commack, Sayville, and West Islip

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • M.D./D.O.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • 1-2 years of experience in either an urgent care or emergency room setting treating all ages (6 months and older)
  • Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
  • Comfortable reading EKGs and X-rays
