About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical services for acute episodic conditions, including sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections
  • Assess patients and recognize more serious conditions
  • Direct patients to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary
  • Treat both adult and pediatric patients
  • Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints
  • Read EKGs and X-rays
  • Deliver a high-quality patient experience
  • Work in urgent care centers open seven days a week, with operating hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required
  • Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
  • Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.)
  • Comfortable reading EKGs and X-rays
  • Experienced Physician Assistant
  • Ability to work per diem/PRN schedules, including two shifts per month with one weekend shift
