About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide urgent care medicine in UPMC-GoHealth centers
- Evaluate and treat a wide variety of acute-care concerns
- Perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints
- Conduct preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
- Treat patients ages 6 months and up
- Collaborate with on-site Radiologic Technologists and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader
- Participate in monthly collegial meetings and case reviews
- Share experience and training with clinicians and staff
- Potentially serve as a teacher, focus expert, or supervising physician
- Work at an anchor center or rotate between locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- One (1) year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required, or 2 years of Family Medicine
- Comfortable with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints
- Preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting required
- Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
