About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform x-ray services for patients under the clinical direction of the Medical Provider
- Apply x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment for patients of all age groups, from newborn to elderly
- Position patients correctly and protect them during equipment use
- Push patients in a wheelchair
- Follow operating instructions and document daily equipment controls and calibration
- Maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed
- Report x-ray results to Medical Providers
- Provide administrative support for efficient operation of the Centers
- Support Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients with patient care management, organization, and communication
- Travel between nearby urgent care sites as patient care needs arise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to travel to all four locations: Lagrangeville, Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, & Fishkill
- MVR required
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required
- Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software preferred
- Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
