About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the frontline leader and operational point person for assigned urgent care centers
  • Provide coaching, support, and regular one-on-one meetings with team members
  • Conduct monthly center meetings and facilitate team communication
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Partner with leadership and People teams on attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns
  • Support new-hire development and collaborate with training teams
  • Partner with the Regional Operations Manager on operational success and business initiatives
  • Monitor patient experience, volume, throughput, and operational KPIs
  • Review patient feedback and assist with service recovery and complaint resolution
  • Conduct center walkthroughs and identify facility, equipment, and operational needs
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and oversee monthly inventory processes
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control logs are completed accurately and timely
  • Support staffing plans, weekend leadership coverage, and new center openings
  • Assist with Manager-on-Duty responsibilities during operational challenges
  • Register patients and verify insurance eligibility
  • Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment
  • Perform point-of-care testing, including rapid flu, strep, urinalysis, ECGs, and pregnancy tests
  • Support providers with patient flow and clinical documentation
  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up calls, and patient communication
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medical records
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure organizational compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • One accepted credential required upon hire: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, LPN, RN, EMT, or CNA
  • Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Preferred: Previous healthcare leadership, supervisory, charge, or team lead experience
  • Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Preferred: Experience working in urgent care, primary care, emergency medicine, or other fast-paced healthcare environments
