About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver, coordinate, and support clinical and operational training programs within the assigned market
  • Facilitate new-hire onboarding, clinical skills training, workflow education, classroom instruction, virtual training, and hands-on training
  • Support Training Coach and Medical Assistant learners transitioning to independent active support for providers
  • Provide coaching, feedback, learner development, and readiness support
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, completion, and competencies using tracking tools
  • Maintain training records, assessments, certifications, reports, and documentation
  • Communicate learner status, readiness, and concerns to Training and Operations Leadership
  • Identify and escalate attendance, performance, engagement, and training gaps
  • Participate in Training Coach candidate interviews and provide job-related feedback
  • Observe and assess learner performance in training and clinical environments
  • Validate competencies, identify skill gaps, and recommend additional training or remediation
  • Support learner improvement plans through ongoing coaching and skill reinforcement
  • Support training operations, schedules, logistics, assigned initiatives, reporting, tracking, documentation, and special projects
  • Partner with Training Coaches and Training and Operations Leadership to promote consistency and workforce readiness
  • Recommend improvements to training materials, processes, and delivery methods
  • Support pilot programs, training initiatives, and process improvement efforts
  • Provide clinical support as needed after training responsibilities are completed
  • Maintain clinical competencies, certifications, compliance, quality, and patient care standards
  • Perform Medical Assistant patient-care duties when assigned and serve as a role model for Medical Assistants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active clinical certification or license (MA, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
  • Required certifications (e.g., BLS)
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in urgent care, outpatient, or similar clinical settings
  • Prior experience as a Training Coach, Preceptor, or equivalent role
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Experience supporting onboarding and training programs
  • Urgent care or multi-site clinic experience
  • Introductory experience facilitating training or coaching peers
  • Familiarity with Epic or eClinicalWorks
  • Knowledge of clinical operations, workflows, patient care standards, and adult learning principles
  • Ability to deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training
  • Skill in coaching learners, assessing performance, validating competencies, and providing developmental feedback
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate training records, monitor learner progress, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS), and other business technologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, supplies, and equipment up to 15 lbs.
  • Travel required 50% or more based on business needs and training requests
  • Ability to work weekends to train pre diem and part-time team members
  • May require use of safety equipment for infection prevention
