About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the team completes the appropriate volume of work by systematically monitoring daily tasks and managing priorities
- Ensure efficient service for internal and external customers by optimizing processes and appropriately staffing the maintenance team
- Make technical and risk management decisions, escalating to the coordination level when necessary
- Ensure operational, quality, cost, and schedule targets are met
- Participate in recruitment processes and conduct technical candidate assessments with Human Resources
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Kaizen methodologies
- Ensure service quality and compliance with technical, regulatory, and standards requirements (ANAC, OEM, CMM, etc.)
- Monitor production flow, address deviations, and ensure deadlines agreed with customers are met
- Promote the technical development of the team and ongoing training in aircraft maintenance
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical documentation (CMM, SBs, ADs, IPL)
- Ensure the proper use and availability of tools, equipment, and special devices (tooling/QEC)
- Support the expansion of the workshop’s capabilities, including new part numbers (PNs) and repair types
- Balance schedule, cost, and quality in a regulated environment
- Manage production capacity in response to demand fluctuations
- Develop and retain qualified technical personnel
- Eliminate bottlenecks and promote continuous process improvement
- Integrate multiple departments to ensure smooth operations
- Support capability expansion and reduce reliance on external MRO providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in maintenance
- Completed higher education or a Certificate of Technical Qualification (CHT)
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience in people management will be a strong advantage
