About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the content services and APIs used by learner, admin, and future product surfaces
- Own the content delivery path, including CDN, video, file, and asset storage
- Define how content is stored, versioned, and served for reuse across customers
- Establish and own the multi-tenant separation model
- Own access, entitlements, and data residency decisions
- Own performance and cost per tenant
- Lead the platform portion of an ongoing migration from an incumbent content tool
- Own non-functional requirements involved in security and compliance reviews
- Shape the platform foundations that support the company’s future product development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with content management as a product, such as a CMS, DAM, headless content platform, or structured content system at scale
- Experience owning platform or infrastructure-adjacent product
- Technical depth sufficient to read architecture proposals and evaluate technical decisions
- Ability to work effectively with senior engineers, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists
- Ability to evaluate remediation estimates and tenancy designs
- Ability to think in system seams, contracts, and reversible decisions
- Ability to sequence modernization of a platform while it remains operational
- Strong writing skills for decisions, tradeoffs, and reasoning
- AI and personalization or infrastructure depth is nice to have
- A previous career as an engineer is an advantage, not a requirement
