About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the design of Grant Finder from discovery through launch and iteration
- Help shape Goodstack’s AI-powered operating system for nonprofits
- Design AI experiences that are intuitive, transparent, and useful
- Speak with nonprofits, test ideas, and turn insights into better products
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and AI
- Turn complex funding journeys and data into simple, polished experiences
- Evolve the design system as the platform grows
- Understand nonprofit users and their funding-access challenges
- Ship meaningful improvements to Grant Finder
- Help define how Grant Finder fits into the wider nonprofit platform
- Use research and testing to shape product decisions
- Serve as a trusted voice on user needs, AI experiences, and product quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of product design experience in fast-moving teams
- A strong portfolio showing complex problems made beautifully simple
- Excellent interaction, visual, and systems-design skills
- Experience designing AI-powered, data-rich, or workflow products
- Strong research, prototyping and testing skills
- Confidence working in Figma and with design systems
- A collaborative style and experience partnering with Product and Engineering
- Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping products from an early stage
- Bonus knowledge or interest in nonprofits, grants, fundraising or mission-driven technology
- Bonus experience with AI-native products, recommendation tools or agentic workflows
- Bonus experience with B2B platforms, operating systems or multi-user products
- Bonus experience in early-stage or scale-up environments
- Bonus experience building technology that creates meaningful social impact
