About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support execution of business development and client engagement initiatives for the Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry Groups
- Plan and execute client events, including large-scale conferences, bespoke programs, client dinners, webinars, and sponsorship opportunities
- Manage logistics for client-facing events, including venues, vendors, invitations, RSVPs, materials, on-site support, and post-event follow-up
- Lead webinar planning from conceptualization and scheduling through execution and follow-up
- Provide backup and on-site event support and assist with client development initiatives
- Manage and oversee Goodwin’s participation in industry sponsorships
- Collaborate with conference organizers to handle logistics and maximize sponsorship benefits
- Develop and manage targeted invitation lists with attorneys and Client Development leadership
- Support attorneys in maximizing client and prospect touchpoints before, during, and after events
- Collect post-event feedback, encourage follow-up activities, and report on return on investment
- Collaborate with Market/Competitive Intelligence on client, prospect, and competitor research and analysis
- Track event data, attendance, and engagement in the firm’s CRM system
- Prepare post-event metrics and ROI analyses and recommend strategies to improve effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA, BS, or equivalent
- 2+ years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm, professional services organization, or corporate environment
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional client service skills with a positive attitude and objective thinking
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Willingness and ability to work with a wide variety of people and projects collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize assignments effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and quickly establish trust
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Foundation, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM tools and databases is a plus
- Occasional travel
