About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership in developing software application solutions for the business community within the application domain
  • Design, implement, and maintain solutions consistent with enterprise software architecture standards
  • Communicate and ensure adherence to architecture standards across the product portfolio
  • Design and develop programs according to specifications and coding standards
  • Test programs for accuracy and optimal performance
  • Analyze current business systems and determine scopes and estimates for enhancements or issue resolution
  • Analyze software packages as potential solutions
  • Create software architecture artifacts and present them to the Application Engineering Council
  • Collaborate with internal customers to establish technical requirements
  • Perform integrated systems testing for accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance
  • Perform system software maintenance, support, and requirements analysis
  • Conduct and facilitate formal code reviews
  • Learn and apply AI in the development/operations process
  • Support customer and sales initiatives requiring development and business analyst work
  • Roadmap security vulnerability activities and quick deployment practices using AI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required
  • 4-6 years of previous software development experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Demonstrated mastery of current development and design technologies required
  • Application/database design and architecture experience required
  • Strong commitment to software quality required
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills required
  • Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building required
  • Good written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to effectively manage time, multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment
  • Drive and initiative, with motivation toward company, team, and individual results
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using established precedents and policies
  • Candidates who work for a Gordon Food Service customer must provide a letter of support from their management if selected for the interview process
  • Must complete a pre-employment drug test
