About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define application, information, and technical architectural visions and strategic multi-year roadmaps aligned with enterprise business goals
- Engage with architecture councils, domain architects, and engineering teams to champion standards and ensure architectural integrity
- Bridge current-state and future-state architecture
- Design resilient, scalable, cross-domain architectures for critical strategic initiatives
- Research industry trends and run hands-on proof-of-concepts
- Lead technology vendor evaluations and assess emerging tools and frameworks
- Drive creation, adoption, and reuse of enterprise architectural patterns, frameworks, and digital assets
- Guide, coach, and mentor domain architects, engineers, and IT specialists
- Document architecture designs, blueprints, and decision records
- Establish and track architectural health and performance metrics
- Partner with engineering leads, domain architects, and executive leaders through workshops, facilitation, and consensus-building
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6 years in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive architectural experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated architectural proficiency in at least two enterprise architecture domains: Application Architecture; Information / Data & Data Integration; Technical & Cloud Infrastructure; Security Architecture; Business Architecture
- Outstanding verbal, written, visual, and group facilitation skills
- Proven ability to translate complex technical trade-offs for diverse business and technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of leading through influence, consensus-building, and mentoring across matrixed cross-functional teams
- Experience guiding enterprise migrations and architectures within modern cloud ecosystems preferred
- Google Cloud Platform experience preferred
- Experience with large-scale ERP platforms and enterprise integration frameworks preferred
- Passion for hands-on experimentation, technical research, and continuous learning preferred
- Candidates working for a Gordon Food Service customer must provide a letter of support from management if selected for the interview process
- Must comply with pre-employment drug testing
