About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- File correspondence, pleadings, and other documents
- Index pleadings and other documents
- Communicate with clients, courts, other counsel, and vendors
- Retrieve files
- Scan documents into the iManage system and forward them to attorneys and paralegals
- Assist with preparation for trial, arbitration, and mediation
- Distribute incoming mail and FedEx
- Ensure outgoing mail is routed in a timely manner
- Process HIPAA authorizations
- Handle record acquisition and filing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience (although the posting also states the position is open to all experience levels)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Close attention to detail
- Computer skills, particularly experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, FileSite, and iManage
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Comfortable multi-tasking in a team-structured setting
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Milana, and trial presentation software is a plus
- Knowledge of court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and filing procedures is a plus
