About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the infrastructure and security of GovSignals' platform across commercial cloud, FedRAMP High, and IL5 environments
Run the same product across commercial cloud, AWS GovCloud FedRAMP High, and IL5 environments
Maintain custom builds of Supabase and Trigger.dev for restricted networks
Operate Kubernetes clusters, GitOps pipelines, networking, and observability across each environment
Make standing up new environments repeatable
Build infrastructure for AI agents, including agentic harnesses, automated remediation loops, and deployment tooling
Integrate customer data with the deployment team, including data supporting U.S. warfighting capabilities
Support thousands of enterprise users managing billions in government contracts
Work directly with the CTO and cofounders

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or security engineering roles
Experience building infrastructure that other engineers depend on
Deep production Kubernetes experience, including cluster operations, networking, GitOps, and upgrades without downtime
Experience taking infrastructure through a real migration or scaling event and explaining what broke
Secure-by-default practices, including hardened images, least-privilege access, network policy, and secrets management
Nice to have: experience in FedRAMP, IL, HIPAA, or other regulated environments
Nice to have: Postgres operations, including replication, backups, and migrations
Nice to have: backend TypeScript experience
Nice to have: open-source infrastructure work
Active or previous security clearance is a plus, but not required
