About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and communicate the vision, objectives, desired outcomes, and priorities for the assigned product area or squad
- Connect the learning roadmap to business strategy, operational needs, customer expectations, and organisational capability priorities
- Make trade-offs across business impact, urgency, learner benefit, effort, risk, and available resources
- Champion innovation in digital learning formats, microlearning, video, gamification, and interactive experiences
- Own, refine, and prioritise the capability development backlog
- Translate business needs into prioritised and actionable requirements
- Establish acceptance criteria for content, courses, learning pathways, and educational deliverables
- Maintain a transparent roadmap and backlog supporting informed decisions and predictable delivery
- Lead squad ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Apply Scrum and Kanban to manage demand, remove blockers, improve flow, and strengthen delivery discipline
- Partner with subject matter experts, instructional designers, multimedia producers, and other specialists to create learning products
- Foster experimentation, feedback, shared ownership, and continuous improvement
- Plan and monitor training projects from discovery through launch
- Align learning strategy, instructional approach, operational requirements, and user experience throughout delivery
- Validate outputs against acceptance criteria and resolve quality issues before release
- Balance speed and quality to deliver sustainable, scalable solutions
- Define and track learning and delivery KPIs
- Use data, user feedback, and business outcomes to evaluate training performance
- Turn insights into backlog decisions, product enhancements, and stakeholder recommendations
- Promote evidence-based decision-making and test-and-learn practices
- Build relationships with business leaders, customers, functional partners, and delivery teams
- Align expectations, communicate priorities and delivery status, and make dependencies, risks, and decisions visible
- Facilitate trade-off discussions when priorities compete
- Influence without formal authority and maintain alignment across diverse stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualified in Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Educational Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience as a Project Analyst, Product Owner, Project Coordinator, Project Lead, or in a comparable role with end-to-end ownership of priorities and outcomes
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile methodologies and multidisciplinary squads
- Practical experience managing a backlog, prioritising demand, and translating stakeholder needs into executable work
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Capability in product management, backlog management, prioritisation, and roadmapping
- Solid project management skills, including managing scope, timing, dependencies, risks, and quality
- Experience with Agile work management tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, or equivalent platforms
- Ability to define and monitor training KPIs and use learning data to guide decisions
- Confidence analysing performance metrics, learner feedback, adoption data, and business outcomes
- Strategic thinking connecting priorities with broader business outcomes
- Clear, confident communication and ability to influence stakeholders
- Strong organisation, judgement, prioritisation, and decision-making
- Analytical and curious approach using evidence to challenge assumptions
- Negotiation skills to align stakeholders around value-based trade-offs
