About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide general production planning and execute manufacturing processes in a Cell
- Plan, execute, and report priorities
- Assist or guide time studies to determine labor and machine capacity requirements and restrictions
- Identify quality issue trends and determine corrective and preventative actions
- Prepare process control plans, pFMEAs, flow diagrams, capability studies, and similar documentation
- Adhere to safety standards and identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Assure consistent product and process quality
- Serve as communication liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, Cell Manager, and other teams
- Improve quality through root cause analysis using DMAIC/A3 problem solving and corrective/preventative action methodologies
- Provide hands-on assistance to find solutions
- Determine proper processes
- Analyze production efficiency, standard work, processes, procedures, and manufacturing waste
- Select and implement machines, tooling, and fixturing to maximize productivity and quality
- Perform capital equipment justification
- Research new technology for continuous Cell improvement
- Support machining and/or assembly areas
- Evaluate improvements for machining or assembly
- Troubleshoot quality and efficiency issues on assembly lines or machines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years manufacturing experience or demonstrated qualification in technical field
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes or products with minimum supervision
- Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Great mechanical aptitude
- Ability to produce innovative process design skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and unrestricted basis
- Not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Candidates working under temporary employment authorization, including F-1 OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, or similar programs, are not eligible
