About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Forecast, plan, and schedule assigned products in a manufacturing environment
  • Plan and execute the flow of externally procured materials from suppliers into the factory
  • Plan purchased and manufactured parts using EOQ, min/max, fixed days, Kanban, MRP, and other ordering approaches
  • Maintain accurate planning parameters in GAINS and Oracle
  • Schedule manufacturing orders and ensure customer requirements are met
  • Give work direction and prioritize shop-floor schedules
  • Communicate with customer service to align priorities
  • Inform management about manufacturing challenges and issues, including capacity, machine downtime, and resource fluctuations
  • Manage inventory and assigned products to meet service and inventory plans
  • Communicate supply shortages, delivery changes, and quality issues
  • Maintain GAINS and analyze exceptions
  • Create, adjust, and maintain product and component forecasts in GAINS to drive Oracle planning
  • Work with marketing to refine forecasting data
  • Report on inventory and service levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred, or 4+ years of proven planning experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Registered and working towards APICS CPIM certification if Bachelor’s degree is not in Logistics and Supply Chain Planning field
  • Plan in place to enroll in Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field and willing to complete Bachelor’s degree (No Degree pathway)
  • Knowledge of supply chain and lean manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
  • MRP/ERP system knowledge
  • Competent PC skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Oracle experience
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
