About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop backend and frontend engineers through regular feedback and career conversations
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to support customers and prospects using Observability collection
- Partner with product and engineering leadership on Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub
- Guide projects from ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch
- Foster psychological safety, learning, experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Contribute across team boundaries and partner with other functions to solve customer problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in observability, especially OpenTelemetry, or building a central control plane managing fleets of collectors is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working with autonomous engineering teams
- Up-to-date understanding of technical trends and team challenges
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance
- Deep customer focus
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tooling; practical experience integrating AI-powered tools into a team workflow is ideal
- Candidates must be based in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the United Kingdom
