About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop backend and frontend engineers through feedback and career conversations
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to support customers and prospects through their Observability collection journey
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to integrate Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub into Grafana Cloud’s end-to-end user experience
- Guide projects from ideation through planning, execution, and post-launch
- Foster psychological safety, innovation, learning, and continuous improvement
- Contribute across team boundaries and partner with other functions to solve customer problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong advantage: experience in Observability, especially OpenTelemetry, or building a central control plane managing fleets of collectors
- Comfortable working with highly autonomous engineering teams
- Current understanding of technical trends and engineering challenges
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance
- Deep customer focus
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tooling; practical experience integrating AI-powered tools into a team’s workflow is ideal
- Ability to work remotely from Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the UK
