About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of Enterprise Acquisition Account Executives across Iberia, Italy, and the Middle East
  • Drive new revenue growth, retain and attract new talent, and grow Grafana’s footprint within the assigned territory
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies
  • Mentor the sales team
  • Develop pipeline to over-achieve revenue targets
  • Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals
  • Build and maintain an annual sales plan supporting organisational strategy and objectives
  • Meet with prospects and strategise with sales representatives to close deals
  • Help the team prepare for QBRs and HBRs
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key account contacts
  • Partner with Marketing, Solution Engineers, R&D, Customer Support, and other functional teams
  • Guide the team through a consultative sales approach and articulate product value to prospects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years of leading successful sales teams
  • Minimum 8 years of successful direct sales experience
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Comfort working closely with and building relationships with C-level executives
  • Consistent track record in shaping strategic seven-figure deals
  • MEDDPICC expertise
  • Experience working with ROI and cost modeling
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills
  • Dedication to integrity and professionalism
  • Experience leading a new-logo hunting team across Iberia and Italy
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Background in technical applications and familiarity with OSS is a plus
  • Previous Account Executive experience in Southern Europe is a bonus
  • Experience leading a new-logo hunting team across Southern Europe and the Middle East is a bonus
  • Fluent in Italian is a bonus
