About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers
- Manage the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and loading customer vehicles
- Maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty
- Adapt communication style for email, phone, and in-person interactions
- Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products
- Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock
- Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment
- Perform inventory counts
- Navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance standards
- Follow safety guidelines and process standards
- Report to the Branch Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance
- Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment
- Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday between 7:30am-4:30pm
- Compliance with safety guidelines, process standards, and personal protective equipment requirements
