About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and routine repairs on automated material handling system components
- Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation, and controls, including EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, hardware, and software
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system components
- Serve as a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross-belt systems, and Dematic Multi Shuttle/Goods to Person systems
- Operate material-handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center
- Apply safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards, and Arc Flash procedures
- Follow NEC, BOCA, UBC, MSDS, and OSHA codes and standards
- Design, implement, and document authorized PLC programming changes using Siemens and Allen Bradley systems
- Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks, including Probus, Data Highway, and CanBus
- Report to the Facilities Supervisor
- Work Monday through Thursday on a 4x10 schedule, 1:30 p.m. to midnight
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance experience, including 2 years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems
- 2+ years of experience with AC drives, including setup, programming, and fault diagnosis
- Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programs
- Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gauges
- Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings and schematics
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages weighing 50–75 lbs.
- Successful completion of Maintenance skill evaluation
- Availability for 24-hour on-call rotation
- Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions
