About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Perform or direct electrical circuiting work in compliance with safety regulations
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes
- Perform preventative maintenance on high- and low-voltage systems
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and installations
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and support facility goals
- Set goals and determine effective methods to achieve defined results under broad leadership guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED
- Licensed Maintenance Electrician
- Valid Illinoise driver's license
- 3+ years hands-on experience as a journeyman electrician
- Knowledge of basic CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) functions and maintenance-related queries
- Cross-Functional Trades Knowledge preferred, including a basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing infrastructure, and fluid power systems
- Working knowledge of lighting inverters, VFDs, Motor Soft Start equipment, and HVAC controls
- Qualified to work with voltages ranging from 12V-600V AC and DC
- Associate degree in electrical technology or similar preferred
