About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry and maintenance, product picking, and safely loading customer vehicles as needed
Perform branch sales activities to capitalize on sales opportunities, encourage customer loyalty, and deliver revenue targets
Navigate various computer systems and applications for customer-facing and warehouse activities
Shift between assisting customers and branch tasks, including warehouse and showroom activities for pickup or shipping
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain branch appearance according to Grainger standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
Valid driver's license in good standing
1+ years experience in related field preferred
Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
Ability to work in a position requiring continuous standing and walking
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted on a regular basis
Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment
Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
May be required to submit to customer alcohol and drug screening procedures for access to customer sites
Pre-employment background checks are required for all external candidates
