About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist customers by telephone with selecting the right product
Provide post-sales support
Answer product application and troubleshooting questions for a large range of Grainger products
Communicate with external customers including end-users, maintenance technicians, and contractors
Communicate with internal customers including parts and sourcing specialists, sales, and store team members
Provide technical product support by telephone while using multiple computer programs and applications simultaneously
Identify solutions and document customer conversations
Navigate websites, conduct web searches, and conduct product searches using the Grainger online catalog
Use industry-related experience, formal vendor training, and on-the-job learning to achieve and maintain technical expertise on Grainger products
Capture and forward product feedback to product teams based on interactions with customers and field team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of relevant job experience or hands-on field experience
Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and lighting systems, wiring, and controls
Electrical experience required; lighting systems training provided as needed
Experience with Industrial Controls and Automation
Proficiency in computer use
Ability to navigate different applications simultaneously with multiple screens/dual monitors
