About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze complex business issues and translate business questions, decisions, and terminology into requirements for trusted analytic products
- Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, analytics professionals, product managers, and cross-functional product teams
- Define business concepts, measures, relationships, rules, and requirements for consistent analytic products
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reusable semantic models
- Create and maintain metadata, data definitions, lineage, model diagrams, and usage guidance
- Develop end-user guidance and training
- Manage the analytic product lifecycle, including success measures, adoption, quality, performance, business impact, AI evaluation, and escalation criteria
- Advise stakeholders on analytics and AI-assisted use cases, data literacy, result interpretation, and human review
- Prioritize opportunities, manage dependencies and risks, influence decisions, and communicate product value to executive stakeholders
- Potentially coach staff and participate in talent selection, development, and performance management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- 4 or more years of advanced experience in business analysis, analytics development, business intelligence, data modeling, product delivery, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated success translating complex business needs into analytic products that influence decisions and deliver measurable outcomes
- Experience designing or maintaining BI applications, analytic products, or semantic models is required
- Practical experience using AI-assisted tools is preferred
- Advanced analytical, communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
- Ability to validate AI-assisted outputs and failure conditions
- Ability to protect sensitive information and communicate limitations
- Experience with product discovery, business analysis, semantic modeling, AI evaluation, testing, and documentation
- Ability to serve as a senior member of an agile product team and provide guidance to less experienced team members
