About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide helpdesk and technical support by phone, remote access, or site visits
- Set up and support computers, printers, scanners, phones, and other endpoint equipment
- Set up and support network equipment, wireless, video conferencing, and telecommunications equipment
- Respond to hardware, software, networking, and other IT issues
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, software, and hardware
- Install and configure software and functions according to specifications
- Provide user orientation and guidance for new software and computer equipment
- Maintain records and logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules
- Monitor IT department tasks and recommend quality improvement initiatives to the IT Operations Manager
- Consult with vendors and clients to integrate and update company technology
- Perform other assigned duties
- Provide on-site IT support in Salina, Kansas; occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or related discipline preferred
- Minimum two years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience in Windows Server/virtual environment
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Must not require visa sponsorship, including H-1B or sponsorship after OPT
