About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a key member of the HR Leadership Team
- Enable GreatAmerica through modern practices and approaches that attract, retain, develop, and care for talent throughout the employee lifecycle
- Serve as a trusted resource to assigned Business Support functions, providing HR guidance and influencing business strategy
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies
- Lead the enterprise talent acquisition strategy and improve recruiting processes, programs, and practices
- Recruit, lead, and continually develop HR team members
- Help business leaders align compensation decisions with the company compensation philosophy
- Promote consistent performance management processes and guide leaders
- Improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention
- Support employee engagement activities, analyze survey data, and help leaders implement results
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct investigations
- Maintain knowledge of employment legal requirements and partner with legal and compliance teams
- Provide performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Provide HR policy and process guidance and interpretation
- Partner on offers, promotions, transfers, and hiring decisions
- Support or design culture stewardship activities
- Provide guidance on restructures, workforce planning, surge events, succession planning, and high-potential management
- Identify training needs and executive coaching needs; partner with Learning & Development and Organization Development
- Evaluate and monitor training programs and provide feedback for the learning strategy
- Serve as a power user of HR technology platforms
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (or equivalent)
- At least five years of experience in a consultative HR role
- Demonstrated career progression in HR-related roles
- Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state-owned employment laws
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
