About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of platform capabilities under guidance
- Support platform lifecycle activities including provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching, and monitoring
- Assist with automation and continuous improvement initiatives to improve platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
- Monitor platform health and follow established procedures to identify, troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate issues
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes
- Follow established security, compliance, and operational controls
- Document work activities, processes, configurations, and solutions using established standards
- Collaborate with engineers, technology teams, vendors, and business partners to support platform-related initiatives
- Build understanding of how platform services support business operations and technology outcomes
- Learn to identify and escalate issues originating from upstream systems, vendors, integrations, or dependencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Exposure to a major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and IT service management practices (Jira/ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with source control tools (GitHub/Bitbucket/Azure DevOps) and basic Git workflows
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code concepts (Terraform)
- Familiarity with JSON/YAML for configuration and templating
- Exposure to containerization (Docker); familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Deployments) a plus
- Exposure to Linux fundamentals (command line, file systems, basic administration)
- Exposure to basic scripting (Bash/Python) for everyday automation tasks
- Basic programming or scripting ability (.NET/Java/JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Exposure to networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing, basic firewall/security group concepts)
- Basic awareness of monitoring and alerting can surface failures originating outside the platform being monitored
- Interest in financial services, banking, or regulated-industry technology
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
