About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve technology platforms supporting business and technology operations
  • Partner with technology and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and efficient platform solutions
  • Drive automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Independently manage platform capabilities and support incident resolution
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Write and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code
  • Build and maintain containerized services and deployment pipelines
  • Apply GitOps practices for version-controlled environment changes
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads, including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, and DaemonSets
  • Package applications with Helm and configure storage, Ingress, and network policies
  • Maintain configuration management records and incident, problem, and change process discipline
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and serve as an escalation point
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
  • Build monitoring and alerting for upstream vendor or integration failures
  • Implement and maintain security controls and access management
  • Support audit and compliance activities
  • Partner with engineering and business teams on platform best practices and reusable tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting, engineering, or administering technology platforms
  • Working knowledge of a major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP); relevant certification a plus
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines/GitHub Actions/Jenkins)
  • Proficiency with source control tools (GitHub/Bitbucket/Azure DevOps) and GitOps workflows
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) and deployment automation
  • Working knowledge of IT service management and CMDB practices (Jira/ServiceNow)
  • Strong working knowledge of JSON/YAML for configuration, templating, and manifests
  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker); hands-on Kubernetes experience a plus
  • Familiarity with persistent storage concepts in Kubernetes a plus
  • Basic Linux fundamentals, including command line, scripting, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Bash and/or Python for automation and tooling
  • Basic programming or scripting ability (.NET/Java/JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, routing, firewall/security group rules)
  • Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) or configuration-as-data concepts
  • Working knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and secrets management
  • Experience building observability (logging, metrics, alerting) that distinguishes platform-internal issues from upstream vendor or integration failures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
