About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leverage existing Whole Foods Market grocery sales experience to position supplier partners competitively
  • Assist with new item launches and promotions
  • Build relationships with Whole Foods Market, category managers, and distributors such as UNFI
  • Identify opportunities including OCCIs, backfills, and marketing support
  • Develop and recommend strategic promotional plans for suppliers
  • Execute strategies to achieve agreed-upon supplier goals
  • Introduce new products according to WFM’s new item protocol and deadlines
  • Use analytics to drive sales performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, retailer contacts, and distributor partners
  • Collaborate with Green Spoon leadership on business growth and improvements
  • Present new lines/SKUs, ACVs, promotional and seasonal opportunities for buyer approval
  • Track new item launches and address voids
  • Secure planogram and store-shelf placement
  • Prepare and submit New Items proposals and Promotions by deadlines
  • Secure retailer appointments for principals
  • Attend retailer meetings with principals via phone, Zoom, or in person
  • Manage category review calendars
  • Provide continuous communication and transparency to partners and colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Based in Austin, TX or the surrounding area (required)
  • Whole Foods experience required
  • Proven Key Account management and sales experience required
  • 4+ years of relevant CPG experience and/or 2+ years direct WFM HQ grocery experience
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Motivated, diplomatic, and proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Organic and natural experience preferred
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Willingness to travel out of state and to WFM Austin HQ as needed for meetings and sample delivery
