About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent brands in stores through merchandising, including improving product mix and shelf placement, building displays, and restocking inventory
- Introduce new products to grocery retailers throughout the territory
- Develop positive and trusting relationships with individual stores, principal clients, Green Spoon teams, and departments
- Learn brand partners, products, and effective sales presentation methods
- Support retailers, distributors, and principals with resets, store openings, and trade shows
- Audit stores and maintain records of product placement
- Build relationships with Distributor Account Managers and distributor representatives, specifically UNFI and KeHE
- Write turnover orders to fill voids, support case stack deals, and secure new item placement
- Learn and use Green Spoon field tools, applications, and selling resources
- Update internal tracking applications daily and maintain required field tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Positive attitude
- Great attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to multitask
- Interest in organic food and products
- Must have reliable transportation to get store to store and carry samples
- Must own a smartphone and computer to perform duties
- College degree preferred
- Natural food and grocery experience required
- Must excel in both verbal and written communication
- Some overnight travel may be required based on geographic territory
