About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, install, and maintain PCs, laptops, retail Point of Sale technology, printers, iPads/iOS devices, VoIP phones, and other end-user systems
- Assist in managing Dell and Nutanix servers, Windows Server 2016/2019, Meraki and Fortinet network equipment, manufacturing IoT devices, ISP circuits, copper Ethernet, and single-mode fiber optics
- Monitor and respond to issues through the Fresh Service helpdesk ticketing system
- Address alerts from the SolarWinds system monitoring platform proactively and reactively
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call support rotations
- Support information systems planning, implementation, and administration across IT functional areas
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues according to internal procedures
- Support end-users, set up equipment, document issues, and escalate when necessary
- Install and configure software and apply patches or updates to servers, workstations, and network devices
- Test and monitor IT system performance for security and reliability
- Travel up to 40% to support manufacturing/CPG sites
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
- Up to two years of experience and/or training in IT support or related fields
- Understanding of IT hardware and software systems, including PCs, laptops, iPads, PoS systems, servers, networking equipment, and Windows Server environments
- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting (Ethernet, fiber optics) and system monitoring tools is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers and team members
- Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations, handle physical tasks, and travel as needed
- Ability to pass state cannabis licensing requirements, including federal background checks
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and equipment setup
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must remain compliant with legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
