About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads initiatives improving legal service delivery through process optimization, workflow design, technology enablement, and operational best practices
- Evaluates workflows, resource utilization, service delivery models, and market trends to identify opportunities for efficiency, consistency, quality, and client value
- Partners with attorneys and practice teams to develop, implement, and improve processes, tools, and solutions
- Advises on practice innovation, process improvement, legal technology, and service delivery strategies
- Designs tools, dashboards, reports, portals, and resources providing matter metrics, data, and insights
- Manages practice innovation projects from planning through execution, including scoping, workplans, stakeholder coordination, timeline management, and delivery
- Coordinates cross-functional workstreams involving attorneys, paralegals, business professionals, and other firm resources
- Supports adoption and integration of legal technology and generative AI within assigned practice groups
- Develops and promotes practical AI and legal technology use cases aligned with attorney workflows and firm priorities
- Provides support, coaching, troubleshooting, and guidance to attorneys using generative AI and other legal technology tools
- Embeds new tools and best practices into daily legal practice through change management, communication, and enablement
- Supports data and knowledge management strategies and maintains accessible practice resources
- Develops and delivers onboarding, training, demonstrations, workshops, presentations, and written materials
- Serves as the connection between practice group attorneys and the Innovation Team
- Develops case studies, innovation narratives, portal content, and resources supporting visibility and business development
- Assists with thought leadership, client seminars, RFP responses, pitches, and firm innovation initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college
- Admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction required
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as an attorney in a large law firm
- Demonstrated experience managing projects or process improvement initiatives, including coordinating workstreams across multiple stakeholders and delivering results on deadline
- Experience supporting attorneys, clients, or internal stakeholders through change, training, or process improvement initiatives
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Familiarity with legal technology, emerging technologies, and generative AI
- Understanding of process improvement, project management, and legal service delivery principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Ability to drive change, influence adoption, and support stakeholders through process, technology, and workflow transformations
- Self-starter with strong judgment, ownership, and ability to work independently while balancing competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong client service mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfort using collaboration, knowledge management, and workflow tools such as SharePoint, HighQ, or similar platforms
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new legal technology and AI-enabled tools
- Familiarity with project management or task tracking tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with automation, reporting, or client-facing dashboard tools is a plus but not required
