About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the global litigation practice and related practice areas and industry groups
  • Support practice-related proposal requests and RFPs with regional and practice group managers and the business development team
  • Draft proposals using practice descriptions, experience databases, and client lists
  • Create and maintain records of the firm’s practice experience using the experience database
  • Gather and organize information for legal directories and ranking submissions, including Chambers USA, Legal 500, and Benchmark Litigation
  • Organize practice group conference calls and follow up on action items
  • Ensure information flows from attorneys to the marketing team, including biographies, practice area descriptions, experience tracking, news, activities data, and press releases
  • Assist with firm-hosted or sponsored programs and events, including teleconferences, webinars, seminars, marketing materials, and on-site logistics
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in marketing databases
  • Submit and track requests to the marketing intelligence team for research, proposals, and strategic projects
  • Collaborate with marketing and business professionals across the firm
  • Report to the Senior Practice Development Manager
  • Work directly with the global litigation practice marketing team and selected litigation practice areas and industry groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in marketing or business development
  • Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred
  • Self-starter and team player, able to accept direction and work independently
  • Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Outstanding written and oral interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid composition, research, and editing skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Client-first work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Tech-savvy problem solver able to learn new programs or systems with ease

  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms
