About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct penetration testing of IT and OT environments, including some live operations
Test networks, applications, infrastructure and industrial control systems (ICS)
Perform OT and ICS security assessments in critical infrastructure environments
Conduct red team and adversary simulation exercises
Perform on-site assessments at customer locations in Norway and internationally
Prepare high-quality technical reports and executive summaries
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across DNV’s global cyber security organization
Work on OT penetration testing engagements involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networks, remote access solutions, shore and offshore systems and safety-critical infrastructure
Travel regularly to domestic and international customer sites

Requirements

What you’ll need

Formal education at minimum BSc level or above in relevant areas such as cyber security, computer science, telecom, automation, cybernetics, marine engineering or similar
Relevant prior work experience as the role is a senior position; no specific duration stated
Ability to frequently travel domestically and internationally and work on site at industrial facilities and onboard ships
Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments or security audits
Interest in, or experience with OT and ICS security
Understanding of network architectures, switching, routing, and firewalls in IT and OT systems
Ability to deliver clear, structured and high-quality reports
Good written and spoken communication skills
Customer-oriented mindset and ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge
Personal integrity and professionalism
Positive, constructive and solution-oriented attitude
Advantageous: experience with industrial automation; PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and industrial networks; OT penetration testing or OT security assessments; Active Directory penetration testing; networking and firewall configurations; maritime, energy, renewables, utilities or other critical infrastructure background; IEC 62443; GICSP, OSCP, GPEN, CRTP or similar certifications; ability to obtain security clearance
