About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Technical Asset Services team within DNV’s Transmission & Distribution Technology and Power System Planning department
  • Develop a culture of high performance, teamwork, innovation, staff development and retention
  • Manage team resources and deploy them strategically within and across teams
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Project Management & Training and other operational delivery departments
  • Align individual capabilities and skills development with business needs
  • Allocate resources to projects and support Business Development and Sales activities
  • Balance team capacity between project delivery and BD/Sales activities
  • Maintain alignment with Sales Managers and lead smaller BD/Sales opportunities within the team
  • Ensure high performance and quality of deliverables
  • Develop existing talent, close skills gaps and recruit new talent
  • Ensure the service portfolio meets market needs and industry developments
  • Lead a team providing field measurement services and studies related to electrical safety and asset performance, including lightning protection, grounding, diagnostic, EMC and power quality measurements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Software/Data Science, Business Administration or an equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a focus on electrical fields, transients and/or asset measurements
  • Capability or strong motivation to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Prior leadership experience is considered an advantage
  • Ability to build a high-performance culture in a dynamic, complex and uncertain environment
  • Ability to remain resilient under pressure and provide clarity, direction and focus when priorities or operational conditions change
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and teams
  • Ability to allocate and assign tasks clearly to measurement teams
  • Commitment to developing staff capabilities and competencies
  • Advisory mindset with client relationship-building and value creation focus
  • Solid understanding of the energy sector in Germany and preferably Northern Europe
  • Experience with measurements and electrical field services within the electricity transmission and distribution sector
  • Drive to automate and digitalize repetitive activities
  • Awareness of high-voltage safety requirements, risk assessment, safe working methods and applicable procedures
  • Ability to implement and execute strategic plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Self-motivated, resilient and able to remain effective under work pressure
  • Compliance with applicable statutory requirements; successful background check
